Introduction

Harrison Schertzinger ("we," "our," or "us") operates the You.Prjct mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our App.

By using You.Prjct, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Display name and username
• Profile photo (if you choose to add one)

Profile Information

• Personal motto
• Vision board images
• Referral code

Activity and Progress Data

• Daily check-ins: Dates you marked as "won" (completed your day)
• Streak data: Current streak, longest streak, and win rate
• Challenge participation: Challenges you join and your progress
• Routine items: Morning and evening routine items you create, and daily completion status
• Goals: Goals you set and track within the App
• Discipline rules: Personal boundaries you define

Training Data

• Workout sessions and exercise logs
• Training time tracking
• Personal records and performance data

Device Information

• Push notification token: A device-specific token provided by Expo to deliver push notifications. This token is stored securely and is not visible to other users.

Information Collected Automatically

• Subscription status: We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and verify your purchase status

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Location data
• Health data from Apple Health or Google Fit
• Third-party analytics or behavioral tracking data
• Advertising identifiers
• Contacts or address book data

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide, maintain, and personalize the App experience
• Display your profile to friends and followers on the platform
• Enable social features including friend profiles, activity sharing, kudos, and nudges
• Send push notifications (nudges from friends, reminders, and App updates)
• Track your progress and calculate streaks, levels, and statistics
• Store and sync your data across devices
• Manage your account and subscription status
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve the App and develop new features

We do not use your data for advertising, behavioral profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering and improving the App experience.

Information Shared With Other Users

You.Prjct includes social features that allow you to connect with friends. When another user views your profile, the following information may be visible:

Profile Information Visible to Friends

• Display name and username
• Profile photo
• Personal motto
• Level and points balance
• Longest streak and challenges completed
• Member since date

Activity Data Visible to Friends

• Activity calendar: A 14-day view showing which days you checked in
• Routine items: Your morning and evening routine titles and today's completion status
• Quick stats: Win rate, current streak, and best streak

Vision Board

Your vision board is displayed in a collapsible section on your profile. You can control whether it is visible to friends through the vision board privacy setting in the App.

Nudges

Friends can send you a nudge — an encouraging push notification — once per day if you haven't checked in. Your display name is included in the nudge notification sent to your friend.

Kudos

Friends can send you kudos (fire, respect, keep going) to encourage your progress. Kudos are visible only to the sender and receiver.

What Is NOT Shared With Other Users

• Your email address
• Your push notification token
• Your goals and goal details
• Your discipline rules
• Detailed workout session data and personal records
• Reading session data
• Private notes or reflections
• Shipping information (for reward claims)

Push Notifications

We collect your device's push notification token (provided by Expo) to deliver notifications. Types of notifications include:

• Nudges from friends: Encouraging messages sent by your friends
• Check-in reminders: Reminders to complete your daily check-in
• App updates: Important updates about the App

You can disable push notifications at any time through your device's system settings. Push notification tokens are stored securely and are never visible to other users.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in two locations:

• Cloud storage: Supabase, a secure cloud database hosted on AWS, stores your account information, profile, activity data, and social connections
• Local storage: AsyncStorage on your device stores data for offline access and faster performance

We implement the following security measures:

• All data transmission uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)
• Row Level Security (RLS) policies on our database restrict data access based on user authentication and relationships
• User-generated content is subject to profanity filtering and moderation
• We do not sell your personal data to third parties

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account:

• Contact us at harrison@theyoufirstproject.com to request account deletion
• Upon deletion, your profile, activity history, social connections, and all associated data will be permanently removed within 30 days
• Data may be retained beyond 30 days only where required by law

We use the following third-party services to operate the App:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

• With other users: As described in the "Information Shared With Other Users" section above, certain profile and activity data is visible to your friends on the platform
• With service providers: The third-party services listed above, solely to operate the App
• If required by law: To comply with legal obligations or legal process
• To protect rights and safety: To protect our rights or the safety of our users

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data within the App
• Update your profile information, display name, username, motto, and photo at any time
• Control your vision board visibility through the App's privacy settings
• Block other users to prevent them from viewing your profile or sending you nudges
• Report content or users that violate our policies
• Disable push notifications through your device settings
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Request a copy of your data

Children's Privacy

You.Prjct is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to remove that information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
